About Your Book Genie—and me
My name is Jan Bear. I am a writer, editor, and book designer, and I work to give your beautifully crafted story the personification it deserves, whether in the words it uses or in the way it appears on the page on the page.
I was a news editor for an statewide newspaper in Oregon, and while I was there I won an award for book design. When I’m not immersed in words, you can find me discovering Arizona’s hiking trails or listening to classical, classic rock, or jazz music.
I enjoy reading and writing mythic fiction fantasy stories, and I sometimes crochet small, strangely colored animals to give to kids at church.
